Once you have completed your workforce registration, please disregard any future workforce center registration forms until you file a new unemployment claim. You only need to register once per claim year. You may receive more than one form asking you to register with your workforce center. The new rule also allows for a disqualification if you provide false or incorrect information during the course of a job interview that would incorrectly lead an employer to consider you unqualified for the job or be unable to contact you to offer you the job. Under a new rule which became effective this week, CDLE can disqualify you from receiving further benefits if you fail to show up to a scheduled interview, fail to show up for a scheduled exam, fail to report for the first scheduled day of new work, and/or fail to complete required pre-employment activities unless you can provide a reasonable, verifiable justification for the specific failure. This includes showing up and providing accurate information to scheduled job interviews.
